ترجمة الآية 57 من سورة An-Nahl - English - سورة النحل : عدد الآيات 128 - - الصفحة 273 - الجزء 14.

﴿ وَيَجۡعَلُونَ لِلَّهِ ٱلۡبَنَٰتِ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥ وَلَهُم مَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ ﴾
[ النحل: 57]

﴿ ترجمة: ويجعلون لله البنات سبحانه ولهم ما يشتهون ﴾

And they assign daughters unto Allah! Glorified (and Exalted) be He above all that they associate with Him!. And unto themselves what they desire;

English - Sahih International

And they attribute to Allah daughters - exalted is He - and for them is what they desire.

Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(16:57) They assign daughters to Allah; *50 praise be to God! as for themselves, they would like to have what they desire. *51

*50) This refers to a tradition of the ancient Arabs. They regarded their goddesses and angels as daughters of God.
