ترجمة الآية 44 من سورة Al-Qasas - English - سورة القصص : عدد الآيات 88 - - الصفحة 391 - الجزء 20.

﴿ وَمَا كُنتَ بِجَانِبِ ٱلۡغَرۡبِيِّ إِذۡ قَضَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَى ٱلۡأَمۡرَ وَمَا كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ ﴾
[ القصص: 44]

﴿ ترجمة: وما كنت بجانب الغربي إذ قضينا إلى موسى الأمر وما كنت من ﴾

And you (O Muhammad SAW) were not on the western side (of the Mount), when We made clear to Musa (Moses) the commandment, and you were not among those present.


English - Sahih International

And you, [O Muhammad], were not on the western side [of the mount] when We revealed to Moses the command, and you were not among the witnesses [to that].

Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(28:44) (O Muhammad,) you were not present on the western side *60 when We gave Moses the Law, nor were you among the witnesses, *61

*60) "Western side": Mount Sinai, which lies to the west of the Hijaz and on which the Prophet Moses was given the Divine Law.
*61) "The witnesses": the seventy of the elders of Israel who had been summoned along with Moses for the covenant to follow the Law. (For reference, see AI-A'raf: 155 and Exod., ch. 24)
